About AddictionInfo
AddictionInfo is an educational publication about substance use, behavioral addictions, withdrawal, treatment, recovery and support for families. It aims to make urgent risks, levels of care, evidence and source basis and limitations easier to understand.
What we publish
- answer-first explainers about addiction and dependence;
- substance- and behavior-specific guides;
- safety-focused withdrawal and overdose information;
- treatment and recovery guides;
- family support resources; and
- transparent comparisons of private treatment providers.
What we do not do
We do not diagnose readers, provide emergency services, prescribe medication, guarantee outcomes or present marketing claims as medical evidence. We do not label a page “medically reviewed” unless a named, appropriately qualified reviewer has actually reviewed that version.
Our editorial model
Foundational health claims are checked against primary research, clinical guidelines and authoritative public-health sources. Provider claims are checked against current official provider and regulator information where available. Pages show review dates and source lists. Material corrections are made directly and should be recorded in an update note when they alter meaning.
